A collaborative effort to document, implement, and advance practical tools for concrete pavement design and analysis.
In 2010, Robert Rodden conceived of and oversaw development of the ACPA App Library to improve access to pavement design tools. A few years later, Jorge Olavarría Bastidas independently recognized the need for similar resources in Spanish and metric units and began developing his own apps at Ingenieria Elemental.
The two connected at a conference in Santiago in 2015 and stayed in touch, looking for the opportunity to collaborate — pavements.design is that collaboration.
